Welcome to the VCEAP Website

An independent Society committed to the well being of City of Vancouver employees (including retirees) and their families through confidential short term counseling, assessment, referral and education services.

Everyone has problems:

• Stress
• Marriage/Relationship issues
• Conflicts with co-workers and family
• Financial issues
• Alcohol/Drug issues

You probably manage solving your problems on your own or with the help of family and friends. But what happens when you aren’t able to work things out on your own? Regardless of where you start, unresolved problems can quickly spread to affect other areas of your life. Problems at work create tension at home and family problems often show up in job performance, emotional problems affect your physical health. Your EAP provides you with access to qualified counseling professionals who can help resolve some of these personal and work-related problems before they affect your health, family or ability to work.

The program provides:

• Free, confidential and professional counseling/therapy
  on a voluntary basis.
• Your co-workers and management will not be told of your
  contact, nor given any details.
• Information regarding your problem will not be shared with
  the union or management.
